MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – December 7, 2015 5:00 PM

Kevin Donovan speaking on Wired West - Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) sent a statement to town officials and the media threatening to withhold funding from WiredWest
MBI is trying to control the broadband project despite towns putting up almost 2/3 of the money. ~They want to prevent our towns from organizing ourselves through the WiredWest coop, which would give us the power to oversee how MBI spends our money.
MBI will be holding two public meetings next week
Kevin is in the process of trying to meet with Senator Humanson.
Health Agent Valerie Bird asked Homer to come in to speak with the board regarding his tentions on the barn demo and repairs to 115 Covell Road. Homer stated he would have repairs completed by end of the week. Eric Munson, Building Inspector and Valerie Bird, Board of Health Agent will inspect on December 20th.
Valerie Bird also mentioned issues with title 5 inspectors doing incomplete inspections and reports. The board agreed to have the agent witness Title 5 inspections. A Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, January 25 at 6PM. Valerie Bird will place legal notice in paper regarding public hearing.
The Board of Selectmen authorized the Tolland Fire Department to use 1376 Colebrook River Road for fire drills.
